Rudy Hernandez

About Rudy

Rudy Hernandez was born in Hanford, California and raised on the Central Coast of California. He graduated from Arroyo Grande High School and continued his education where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from California State University, Fresno and Master’s Degree in Public Administration from National University.

Mr. Hernandez is a Certified Public Finance Officer, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Payroll Professional, former California Certified Municipal Treasurer and currently working on earning his Certified Public Accountant license. Mr. Hernandez is also a former Part-Time Lecturer in Accounting at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California. He has over 30 years of experience in government finance and previously served as the City Treasurer for the City of Atascadero, Business Manager for the San Luis Obispo County Probation Department, Finance Director for the Calaveras County Water District and the Bear Valley Community Services District and Finance Director/Treasurer for several Cities in the State of California.

Personal Background

Growing up on the central coast area of California, Rudy participated in sports activities such as Little League baseball, youth football, and basketball. During his high school and college days, he played in a band which was named Latin Pride. They played Tex-Mex, oldies and current rock n roll music.  Latin Pride was popular with the locals and played for weddings, quinceaneras, silver and golden anniversaries, and high school dances. Rudy enjoys barbecuing with family and friends and going on vacation cruises.
